Digital marketing FAQ's
What kinds of companies need digital marketing?
The short answer is, any company that wants the web be an income-generating aspect of their business strategy.
In our experience there are two schools of thought about business on the web. The first business owner says, "Well, I've got to have a website. How much is that going to cost me?" The second business owner realizes, "Nearly everyone I know relies on the web to make purchases, research products and places, etc. How can I leverage that to increase company growth?"
We don't think of your presence on the web as an expense. We think of it as an investment in growth.
I'm a local small business. Do I need digital marketing?
Of course. Think of it this way: how often have you, even in your hometown, searched for "restaurants near me"? A good digital marketing and SEO strategy can help people find your website when they're looking for products and services like yours.
Even if you don't sell your products online, people will be looking for stores or services like yours.
Can I get results with digital marketing right away?
Sure, you can run an ad and get some clicks, likes, or other. But a good digital marketing strategy is long-term, sustained branding. Plus, getting an ad click doesn't mean much if your website, or click detination, isn't designed to engage the user and promote action.
Does social media play a role in digital marketing?
Social media is an important part of digital marketing, for several reasons. It's a great way to stay in touch with your clients. Regular, relevant posts, articles and media let your customers know what's going on in your industry. And they'll remember where they saw it. And remember, each customer that keeps up with you on social media has it's own set of friends, contacts, connections, etc.
Social media marketing is effective too. Paid ads on social media sites can be less expensive that search engine advertising and if done well can produce good results, meaning good return on the investment in the ad.
What is one thing I need to know about digital marketing?
Digital marketing is a strategic process that takes time and develops as it goes. While you can see quick results, long-term growth and profitability from digital marketing takes time, dedication, flexibility and planning.
Does your pricing include the cost of running the ads?
No, the pricing plans and structure are what we charge to coordinate, launch, monitor, etc. Your ad budget is set by you and is at your descrection. However, we do not charge a percentage of your ad budget on top of our monthy service fees.
And remember, all our digital marketing plans can be customized.
What does SEO stand for anyway?
LSEO is short for Search Engine Optimization. On a basic level, that means, is your website written and laid out in such a way that makes it easy and appealing for search engines crawlers to understand. The better your SEO, the more likely your wesite is to get found by potential customers during a search.
What things should my website contain for good SEO?
Well, a lot, actually. Is your copy well-written and easy to comprehend? How about the markup and code itself? Are your images and pictures appropriate, conveying relevant information? Does your site load fast, and is it mobile-friendly? The list goes on.
Though simple in concept, really good SEO is quite detailed. And, it's an ongoing process. That's why we like to understand your business, and give you regular reporting of your site's performance.
Does good SEO involve more than just my website?
You bet. It involves fresh, meaningful content on your website, and on your social media platforms as well. It's also great to have other reputable sites linking to content on yours.
There are so many aspects to good, well-rounded SEO. Talk to us!
What simple thing can improve my SEO?
While sustained attention to SEO is a strategic, ongoing process, did you know it's really important these days to secure your site's content with a SSL certificate? These are what makes your web address "https" rather than "http", the "s" standing for "secure". The good news is SSL certificates are affordable and easily applied. Just ask us!
Web design FAQ's
Why would I choose a prefossional over a do-it-yourself option?
Let’s say you decide it’s time to remodel your bathroom. Your options are: 1) hire a designer and contractor who specializes in this sort of thing; and, 2) go to Home Depot, buy what you need, and do it yourself.
Home Depot’s website shows pictures of great bathrooms, and the vanity, garden tub and fixtures you want are all in stock. Off you go.
Some time passes, and you’ve got everything you need. You even have the old tub and vanity out at the curb. You start positioning things, and get everything lined up just right. Your bathroom looks Exactly like the picture.
But, wait, when you turn the knob, no water comes out of the faucet. In fact, the vanity is kind of leaning forward, because it’s not attached to the wall. Forget about flushing your new toilet.
Sometimes it’s worthwhile to hire a pro from the start, someone who knows how to put it all together and make it work the way you want it to.
Is satisfaction guaranteed?
While we understand there are some in this world (not you!) who will never be truly happy, we will do everything within reason to exceed your expectations. How well we do depends as much on you, and your willingness to communicate what you want, as it does us.
The simple fact is it is very much in our best interest to have satisfied customers, and because of that we try hard to make sure you are one of them.
Of course, if you are the least bit dissatisfied, contact us and we’ll do our best to make it right.
